Navigating Grief Through Song Workshop

Saturday 2.10.24, In Person

Facilitator: Gwendolyn Kilfoyle, AMFT
Supervised by Liz LaCasto, LMFT 102576

Throughout history and across cultures, singing has been used to cope with the emotional and physical experience of grief. Science has shown that singing lowers cortisol levels, activates the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest), and releases mood-boosting hormones and endorphins.

Come experience the benefits of singing in a group and return home with songs and practices that can be woven into daily life to support the grief journey. Songs are taught by call-and-response in the aural tradition. No musical experience necessary, all are welcome.
